This diagram represents only a linked list. Different nodes can exist in memory
in different places, but the next part of each node contains the address of the next one
node. So they form a chain of nodes, which we call a linked list.
While using the array we knew that the array starts from index 1 which means first
the list element is at index 1. Similarly,  CS607 Final Term Solved Papers by Moaaz

in a linked list we need to know
starting point of the list. For this we have a pointer head that points to
the first node of the list. If we don’t use our head, it will be impossible to know the beginning
list position. We also have a stream pointer that points to the current node
list. We need this pointer to add or remove the current node from the list.

Here in  CS607 Final Term Solved Papers by Moaaz
linked list, current is a pointer and not an index like we used when using an array.
The next field of the last node points to nothing. That’s the end of the list. We will place
NULL memory address at the last node. NULL is an invalid address and is
inaccessible.

Now consider again the list 2, 6, 8, 7, 1. The previous figure represents this list as
connection list. In this linked list, the head points to 2, 2 points to 6, 6 points to 8, 8 points
to 7 and 7 points to 1. In addition, we have the current position on element 8.
This linked list is stored in memory. The following diagram illustrates the process
